Temple Emanuel is a Jewish synagogue located in Grand Rapids, MI.   Founded in 1857, Temple Emanuel is the fifth oldest Reform congregation in the United States. 

The temple offers a variety of services, including Shabbat services, adult education, 20s, 30s, 40s programming, youth programming, and cultural events.  The temple is also home to the United Jewish School.   In addition to its religious functions, Temple Emanuel is also involved in social justice and community service efforts.


Religious organizations have work to do in fighting prejudice, discrimination, and ignorance.  At Temple Emanuel, we are committed to educating ourselves, growing, learning, and fighting all forms of prejudice.  We aim to create a community that fosters belonging for all.
